Dr. Ferdinand, a clinical hypertension specialist, is Professor of Medicine, Gerald S. Berenson, Chair in Preventive Cardiology, Tulane University School of Medicine.  He has published over 250 peer-reviewed publications hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, and racial/ethnic disparities. Dr. Ferdinand is former chair of the Association of Back Cardiologists (ABC) and the National Forum for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention. He was awarded the AHA James B. Herrick Award for Clinical Cardiology Excellence.
